What I bought on Amazon

Part of my resolution going into this year was for my actions to be done with intent, and that included ‘voting’ for the life I want to build through where I choose to spend my money, and what I choose to spend it on. While I am trying to support more local and small businesses I’ve also linked Amazon to my Aeroplan account, so not only do the purchases tend to be cheaper than purchasing elsewhere, I also receive points back.

I’m not ashamed to say my dog stole the show a bit this month. I switched him to a food with nearly as much protein content as his expensive brand for literally half the price and cheaper than anywhere local, plus it’s delivered to my front door and he loves it! A steel bin helps keep his food fresh, gets rid of the cumbersome bags & keeps out pests. Bonus is that it’s not plastic! And since he’s part German Shepherd with the hips that go along with it, we are trying to avoid costly operations in the future by taking care of his joints now with Glucosamine vitamin treats.

A money box for our roadside farmstand that is in it’s painting stage, to help our chickens pay their rent, and a set of grow lights for seed starting. Finally, I am starting to accumulate items for our ‘tiny home upgrade’. I’ve decided to try and prioritize natural fiber materials and went with this 100% green duvet cover to start as the base pallet for my daughter’s room.

This month has been wild in terms of savings & trying to keep my head in a saving mentality when I all I want to do is prepare and stock up for some big moves this summer! But I think, pets, profits, gardening & family are somethings worth spending a little money on in the deep winter months.

Don’t forget to make your actions (& purchases) intentional & keep growing!
