What I Bought in February

With our new trailer being delivered in April, I am slowly trying to make the conscious decision to buy as little plastic as possible to make the switch into our new home, and make the switch into a minimal plastic lifestyle as seamless as possible! My #2 concern with the move is pet damage, specifically our kitten who is known to dig continuously in water bowls, scratch, and be a general menace.

As a matter of personal values, I will never post something I have not bought myself, and would not recommend to a friend. I’ve been extremely happy with all my purchases this month and if you have a pet that digs & spills water everywhere, this no-dig water bowl is a life saver!! If you have a small space & are (justifiably) unwilling to have an obvious litter box, this combo cat tree & hidden box is perfect. The nesting boxes are arguably a little expensive when a couple pieces of wood could do the same job. However, as someone who can more quickly assemble an Ikea piece than screw wood together, they came together well and are easy enough to disassemble and move when needed.

The one thing I am MOST excited for though is actually a re-purchase.

I used the Mother of Pearl Backsplash in the kitchen of my current trailer and it is my far my favourite choice throughout the renos. After 3 years they are still intact, unstained and have not shifted or fallen. They reflect light, brighten small spaces and add a little shimmer & luster. The stick on was easy enough to cut & install as a first-timer, although doing it again I will be using a wet-table saw as shells are brittle. I cannot wait to see our new kitchen come together & fingers crossed Ruki & Brody will grow into their new home as well.

Remember, make conscious decisions when purchasing, what you buy will build the life you live,
